Greer, SC – Cathy Lynn Zimmerman Dixon, 64, formerly of Ronceverte, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, from a sudden illness.
Born Aug. 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Charles Zimmerman and Bill and Ruth Hanna Ray.
Cathy was a homemaker. She had previously been employed at The Greenbrier Hotel where she met her husband, Peter Dixon.
Cathy’s passon were her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. Cathy was a cousin and friend and she will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Janie Zimmerman.
Cathy’s survivors include her husband, Peter “Pete” Dixon; son, Christopher “Tiffer” Dixon (Lauren); daughter, Shannon Childress (Jonathan); grandchildren, Marilee Grace Dixon, Henry and Patrick Childress; brothers, Joe Zimmerman (Debbie), Mark Zimmerman (Connie), and Billy Ray (Becky); sisters, Donna Blanco (Louis) and Carol Goodwin (JR).
A private service was held on Saturday, May 30 at the Wood Mortuary in Greer, SC.
