Blanche Marie Lewis Knicely

Blanche Marie Lewis Knicely, 88, of Friars Hill, WV, passed away on June 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 10, 1936, in Esty on Brushy Flat, she was the daughter of the late Tenny Kennison and Frankie Alder Lewis. Blanche was a retired Kellwood employee and a member of McMillion United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Casey Knicely; daughter, Patricia Butcher; granddaughter, Heather Lynne Wilcox; siblings, Kennison Lewis, Gladys Lewis, Mazie Caplinger, Vesper Lewis and infant siblings, Emma Jane and William Lee Lewis.

Survivors include son-in-law Kenneth Butcher; daughters, Hannah Burns (Steven) and Dena Wilcox (Randy); grandchildren, Matthew Butcher (Marilea), Melissa Butcher (Ronnie), Kendra Burns, Eli Burns (Rachel), Caitlynne Wilcox and Jacquelynne Wilcox; sisters-in-law, Cassandria Perkins and Ruth Lewis; brother-in-law, Terrence Knicely (Delsie); several nieces and nephews.

Mom was always an example of God’s love, extending her kindness and generosity to her church and community members.  She deeply loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 6, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Otis Lewis officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the McMillion Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McMillion Cemetery, c/o Cassandria Perkins, 358 McMillion Church Road, Renick, WV 24966. Online condolences may be shared via www.morganfh.net. Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
