Gracie Campbell, a student at Greenbrier East High School, was recognized at Tuesday evening’s Greenbrier County Board of Education meeting for her winning achievement in the 2025 Poetry Out Loud competition.
Poetry Out Loud is a national contest sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and The Poetry Foundation. The program encourages high school students to memorize and perform poetry, beginning at the school level and advancing to state and national competitions.
Campbell was one of 42 students from across West Virginia who participated in the state finals held Feb. 28–March 1 at the Culture Center in Charleston.
