Officials at White Sulphur City Hall have announced a change in polling places for the upcoming municipal election.
Voting will take place at the Rescue Squad Building on Rt. 92, behind the White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center on election day, Tuesday, June 9. Voting has been moved from the elementary school because school will still be in session.
Early voting will be held from May 27 to June 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at City Hall.
Mayor Lloyd Haynes and Recorder Peggy Bland are running unopposed for re-election; and George “G.P.” Parker, Audrey Burns VanBuren, Larry Wayne Wakeford and Ted Humphreys are on the ballot for city council. Write-in candidates for city council are Mark D. Gillespie, Peter Bostic and Michael Burns. There are five open seats on city council.
