FRIDAY, JUNE 27

6 p.m.: Fireman’s Rodeo – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Free Admission. Come watch local and surrounding fire departments compete. Sponsored by Alderson Fire Department & EMS. Contact: Rick Honaker (304-445-7420)

SATURDAY, JUNE 28

8 a.m.: Youth Bicycle Race Registration – (Corner of Virginia St. & Elmwood Ave.) 3 age divisions: 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12

9 a.m.: Youth Bicycle Race – Sponsored by Tri-County Fire Company. Contact: Jimmy Massey (304-667-3475

5 to 6 p.m.: Registration for Kids Fishing Tournament – (Alderson Alumni Park & Gazebo)

9 a.m.: *Registration: 1st Annual Silas Brown Memorial Poker Run – (Riverview Exxon) Contact: Roscoe Gunner (304-646-6801)

4 to 6 p.m.: Tours of Alderson Elementary School – Tours will run every 30 minutes.

7 to 9 p.m.: Midland Trail Band – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Free Admission. Bring your own chair. Wide variety of music!

FRIDAY, JULY 4

8 a.m.: Parade Line Up – (Alderson Elementary School on Virginia St.) Line-up depends on your arrival. Contact: Jimmy Massey (304-667-3475)

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Alderson 4th of July Car Show – (Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Parking Lot) (North Monroe St.) Presented by Tahoe Farm Club. Contact: Emily Adler (304-667-9285)

10:30 a.m.: 2025 Grand Parade – Queens, floats, cars, bicycles, tractors, horses and fire engines. Trophies and prizes in all categories. Something for everyone! After parade, trophies and prizes can be picked up at the Alderson Memorial Football Field. Contact: Jimmy Massey (304-667-3475)

1 p.m.: Craft & Food Vendors – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Come and support our unique craft and food vendors throughout the day. Contact: Greg Gary (304-646-1762)

1 p.m.: Presentation of Colors – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) 4th of July Salute, Awarding of parade prizes, Raising of big flag by Greenbrier East High School J.R.O.T.C. and the VFW Post 46723.

1 to 9:30 p.m.: WV Inflatables – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Bounce Houses & More! $5 wristbands per day.

1:30 p.m.: Field Events – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Afternoon filled with fun and events for everyone. Races of all kinds. (No pre-registration required) Contact: Jimmy Massey (304-667-3475)

6 p.m.: Admission for Show Begins – (Alderson Memorial Football Field)

7 to 10 p.m.: Buddy Allen & The Cheat River Band – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) $5 per person for show & fireworks, Children 6 & under FREE. Bring your own chair (Rain or Shine). Wide variety of music!

Gates will not open until after the fireworks

10 p.m.: Introduction of Miss Fireworks 2025 – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) Give a warm welcome to Caroline Ormsbee

10:15 p.m.: Grand Fireworks Display – (Alderson Memorial Football Field) The Alderson Fire Department & Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company will put on the best show in Greenbrier County, featuring marvelous aerial and ground displays. $5 per person for show & fireworks. Children 6 & under FREE. Bring your own chair (Rain or Shine).

7:30 to 8 a.m.: Run for Snacks 5K Registration – (Alderson Memorial Football Field)

8:30 a.m.: Run for Snacks 5K Race & Kids Fun Run – Walk or run event. All ages are welcome. Contact: Alicia Utterback (304-890-8103)

11 a.m.: Soap Box Car Derby Race – (Virginia Street) Contact: Travis Copenhaver (304-661-2566)

2 to 4 p.m.: *Ice Cream Social – (Alderson Depot) Contact: Don Sutherland, Alderson Main Street (804-731-9871)

4 to 6 p.m.: Community Gathering – (Alderson Elementary School) Refreshments will be served. Contact: Linda Loudermilk (304-445-7520)

4 to 6 p.m.: Tours of Alderson Elementary School – Tours will run every 30 minutes.

SUNDAY, JULY 6

11 a.m.: Sunday Worship Service – Alderson Area Churches cordially invite you to attend the church of your choice

1:30 p.m.: River Events – (Alderson Mini Park) Enjoy an afternoon of fun in the Greenbrier River. Bring your own chair! Men, women, children and anything that floats races. Contact: Junior Kirby (304-646-5465)

6 p.m.: Ducks on the Greenbrier, Rubber Duck Race – (Alderson Mini Park) Grand Prize is $5,000 Cash and many more prizes. For tickets and information contact Pam Shields (304-992-6027)

6 to 9 p.m.: Gospel Sing – (Alderson Memorial Football Field. Free admission. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of gospel music by various local artists. Sponsored by the Alderson Ministerial Association. In the event of inclement weather, the gospel sing will be moved to the River of Life Church on Rt. 63. Contact: Anthony Carter (304-661-0670)
