Zela Evelyn Boley Worlledge

Fairlea-Zela Evelyn Boley Worlledge fell asleep in death Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016. Zela was 92. She was born at Poole, WV, July 15, 1924. She had resided at Greenbrier Manor for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ariel Worlledge who passed away Sept. 8, 2000.
Zela was a homemaker, she and Ariel had five children and she spent her life raising her children. She was an excellent cook, she loved to garden, growing vegetables and beautiful flowers. She loved her birds. She loved to watch them in the birdbath and loved to watch the robins as they returned in the spring. Zela also had a beautiful voice and loved to sing as Ariel played music. She also loved working crossword puzzles. Music, food and family were such a large part of her life. She loved the simple things. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Zela was also preceded in death by her father, Mead Boley and her mother, Lena Mae Lilly; two of her sons, Lynn Douglas Worlledge and Kerry Duane Worlledge; grandchild, Shawn Worlledge; and sisters and brothers.
She is survived by three children, Dennis Mark Worlledge of Ronceverte and spouse Mary Worlledge, Diana Cheryl Welsh of Rainelle and husband Ron Welsh and Alice Worlledge Sleeper of Lewisburg; brothers, Gerald Boley of Florida and Billy Boley of Summersville; daughters-in-law, Linny Worlledge of New Bern, NC and Mae Worlledge of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Doug Worlledge, Kimberly Worlledge, Duane Worlledge, Winnie O’Neal and David Williams; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn O’Neal, Tyler Williams, Kayla Williams and Zeke Williams.
Zela’s Memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 20, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Minister Imre Pentek of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, presided. Zela attended this congregation during her life. Family and friends were welcomed to Mae Worlledge’s home after the service to celebrate Zela’s life.
