Are you interested in intensive, nationally acclaimed programs in the law and legal field that are also available to complete online? West Virginia University Continuing and Professional Education is offering online Paralegal and Advanced Paralegal Certificate programs through the Center for Legal Studies.
Students of the “Paralegal Certificate” program will be trained on how to properly conduct legal interviews, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law, prepare legal documents, and assist in the preparation of cases for courtroom litigation through practice-oriented instruction. After completion of the Paralegal Certificate program, you can gain additional training with more advanced courses in the “Advanced Paralegal Certificate” program. With a variety of topics such as educational, family, or criminal law, you can specialize in the areas that interest you most.
Also being offered online is the “Victim Advocacy Certificate,” which has been approved through the National Advocate Credentialing Program. The Victim Advocacy Certificate program prepares you to work in victim advocacy arenas; such as domestic violence shelters, crisis centers, and with state and county governments. After completion, you will successfully be able to provide assistance to crime victims in their progression through the criminal justice system and towards their recovery.
