New River expands night course schedule

New River Community and Technical College offers an extensive schedule of evening and night classes on its four campuses to meet the needs of students who work during the day.
At the Greenbrier Valley Campus in Lewisburg, beginning at 7 p.m. students can take courses in Accounting, Administrative Office Technology, Business, Communication, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Machining Technology, Management, Social Services, and Sociology. In addition, students can schedule Biology, English, Math, and Physical Science courses from 5:30-6:45 p.m. The Biology and Physical Science labs are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. right after the corresponding lecture course.
Additional courses offerings beginning at 4 p.m. including Accounting, Business, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, Machining Technology, Math, Music, Paramedic, Phlebotomy, Physical Education, Psychology, Social Services, and Welding courses.
A special Registration Day has been scheduled at the Greenbrier Valley Campus on Tuesday, June 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. in Greenbrier Hall at 653 Church Street in Lewisburg. Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Success Center staff will be on hand to help students register, take placement tests and help students connect with resources in our community to help with child care and for paying for college.
For those who cannot attend the registration session, staff are available at the Greenbrier Valley Campus to help with registration Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Students can review the complete New River CTC course schedule for Fall Semester 2016 online at www.newriver.edu under “Register for Classes.”
