The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) invites friends and former patients of Marlene Wager, D.O., to a reception honoring her contributions to osteopathic medicine and community health.

The event is scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Roland P. Sharp Alumni Conference Center on WVSOM’s campus.

Dr. Wager is an emeritus professor who taught geriatrics and family practice at WVSOM from 1992 through 2007. During this period, she practiced family medicine at the Robert C. Byrd Clinic in Lewisburg. More recently, she has been a clinical instructor for the Osteopathic Principles and Practice course. Founder of the MOSS Scholarship at WVSOM, she is known by many in the area for her work with local nursing homes and hospice patients.
