Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia, presents The Best of the WVJO on Monday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $16 for general admission, $13 for seniors and $112 for children/students. For tickets or more information, call GVT’s Box Office at 304-645-3838 or visit www.gvtheatre.org.

The West Virginia Jazz Orchestra has been providing quality entertainment and a creative outlet for local musicians since it was founded in 2000. When trombonist Greg Morgan became ill, the band decided to show their support through music.

“This concert was not originally scheduled, but we wanted to get together and do something to help one of our own members, Greg Morgan, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. The net proceeds from the concert will be donated to Greg to help him in this difficult time,” drummer Tim Pyne said.

The WVJO concert will feature the popular songs the band is known for, such as “Satin Doll” and “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” along with other classic jazz favorites.
