The West Virginia Humanities Council, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, serves West Virginia through grants and direct programs in the humanities. Grants are offered to nonprofit organizations that support educational programming. The Humanities Council recently awarded 27 minigrants, which are designed for projects requesting $2,000 or less.
Locally, the minigrants included Greenbrier Historical Society (Greenbrier County), Driving Tour of the Revolutionary War Era in the Greenbrier Valley.
