Main Street White Sulphur Springs will hold their first Third Thursday of 2014, on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. Please join us at our Route 60 American Grill and Bar, January’s featured merchant, for fun and food as we challenge minds and memories with “music trivia.” Other participating merchants include Blackcrow Primitives, Gillespie Brothers and Kitten’s Korner.

Phyllis Crumpton has fond childhood memories of summer visits from Michigan to White Sulphur Springs to visit her grandparents. The trip along Route 60 inspired the name for “Route 60 American Grill and Bar,” an establishment now owned by herself and her husband, Curtis. Even the menu items are named for the Route 60 towns she passed through. Some of the yummy sandwiches one might enjoy there include the Gauley Grinder, the Charmco Cheezer, and the Spa City Club. The “Rupert Reuben” was praised by The Greenbrier Quarterly as “one of the best around.” Route 60 is located at 12 W. Main Street. The restaurant’s hours are currently Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The bar side is open later into the evening and on Saturdays and Sundays. For more information on this merchant you may contact them at 304-536-4666.

Third Thursdays are a social event of Main Street White Sulphur Springs to promote and showcase businesses and other attributes of White Sulphur Springs. For more information, visit www.wssmainstreet.org or call 304-536-5060.
