Wilma Marie Duncan, 75, of Dawson, WV, passed away peacefully at Peyton House in Lewisburg on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025. Born June 12, 1950, in Beelick Knob, Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Betty Shuck.
Wilma was a Christian by faith. She had an avid interest in plants and gardening, and a special love for animals, including dogs, cats, birds and fish.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Duncan, Jr., brothers, David Shuck and Randy Shuck, and granddaughter, Randi Black.
Survivors include sons, Elmer (Susan) Duncan III of St. Clairsville, OH, David (Paula) Duncan of Dawson, and Marvin (Destiny) Duncan of Catawba, VA; brothers Ronnie (Pam) Shuck of Beckley and Rodney (Terri) Shuck of Grassy Meadows; grandchildren Ashley (Brian) Skaggs, Brittany Duncan, Cody (Brittany) Duncan, Dylan (Kathern), Meghan (Daniel) Dorsey, Danielle Parker, Allison Duncan, Morgan Black and Jacob Austin; 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma’s legacy of love and kindness to others will continue in the hearts of those she touched.
A special thank you to her caregivers/friends Josie, Victoria and Debbie.
There will be no services. A celebration of her life will be held this summer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
Smathers Funeral Chapel is honored to care for Wilma and her family during their time of need.
