Ray Hopkins (left), Ellen Driggers, and President Danny Driggers; Second Row: Rudi Rucker (left), Debra Zahorenko, Rick Hedrick, treasurer, and Margaret Crookshanks; Third Row: John Rucker (left), Lacy Hartsook, Rodger Hedrick, Gregory Hurd, and Vice President Ray Philips.

With the passing of p ast Ruritan President Stan Zahorenko in December 2021, and President Jack Goodman in January 2022, the Williamsburg Ruritan Vice-President Danny Driggers has stepped up to be President. Ray Philips, former vice-president, has agreed to be vice-president once again. The membership voted to confirm the new posts.

The club had a wonderful meal prepared and served by President Danny Driggers and his wife Ellen Driggers, who is also a member. While we were dining, John Wyatt, the Appalachian, sang and played guitar. He spoke to us about a new opportunity to open the community to a new plan for music and entertainment to be brought to the public.

Scholarships were discussed and to be presented with the Williamsburg Community Action for further comments to be brought to the next town meeting on April 18 at 7 p.m.

The Williamsburg Ruritan Club meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Please feel welcome to give one of us a call and come and join us.
