The Williamsburg CEOS meeting held Apr. 12 was hosted by Loretta Shirley. Members participating were: Laura Rose, Blanche Knicely, Cassandria Perkins, Barbara Deeds, Loretta Shirley, LauraAnn Tiller, Denver Tiller, Burl Post, and Patty Post.

Laura Ann and Denver Tiller led and shared railroad experiences with the WVU Extension Service lesson “Railroads That Carved West Virginia,” an industry that once carved more than 4,000 miles through the West Virginia countryside.

Then all members contributed to filling 14 Easter baskets by bringing Easter items, personal care items and slippers. Then the baskets were delivered to the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home in Rupert.

The Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Service Club (CEOS) will meet on May 10 at 12 noon where Laura Rose will present the lesson on “Succulents 101.” All are invited to participate and learn with the club.

The club will also co-host the County Achievement Day at the state fairgrounds on May 11.  The focus will be on “WV Means We Volunteer.” Come and see what the CEOS is all about! Contact the WVU/Greenbrier County Extension Office for more information.
