William Lee Dillon

Ronceverte – William Lee Dillon, 81, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2023 at GVMC following a short illness.
Bill was born on June 28, 1942 in Ronceverte, the son of Robert and Dallas Dillon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Bobby.
In 1963 Bill married Carol Hale of Waiteville and had two children, Terri (Larry) of Lewisburg and Todd (Chastity) of Hollywood.
Bill retired from Westvaco in 2004 after 38 years of service and was a Deacon at Ronceverte Christian Church. He loved hunting, fishing, golf, and playing cards with his family. He also loved his best buddy, “Pepper” who was always at his side.
Other than his wife and children survivors include his grandchildren, Ryan Dillon (Eisha) of Lewisburg; Britney Bucklen LaFon of Lewisburg; Cody, Olivia, and Olin Dillon of Hollywood; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Ireland, Kadem, Aiden, and Arabella of Lewisburg, and Kori and Jack LaFon of Lewisburg. Also, a special friend and neighbor, Kim Erskine who cared for him deeply.
Bill will be fondly remembered and missed by his family and many friends who treasured time together with him. At his request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
