William Lawrence Gilbert departed this world on October 3, 2024. He was born June 21, 1946, in Mabscott, WV. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hollie and Russia Gilbert.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the IBEW local #466 for over 50 years. He loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time sitting in his gazebo. His presence will be missed by many; our daddy didn’t know a stranger.
Left to carry on his name is his daughter, Juliette Gilbert; son William Gilbert and wife January; grandchildren Khalea, Gabrielle, Brooklyn and Bella. He is also survived by five sisters and special friends who became family, Aaron and Melissa Nelson.
You will live forever in our hearts because in our hearts you’re still alive. We love you more.
There will be no services, as per dad’s wishes.
