Lewisburg-William “Bill” Joseph Ramsey, 76, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born July 8, 1939, in Sinks Grove he was the son on the late Emery J. and Nannie C. Blake Ramsey.
Bill was a retired plumber, a member of the Ruritans, the Fairlea Fire Department and was in the Army National Guard with the Howitzer Unit in Ronceverte.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Mae Evans Ramsey in March of 2011; sister, Emma Jean Sydenstricker; and brothers, Cecil, Lester, John, Frank, Richard, Bob and Jim Ramsey.
Survivors include daughter, Jeanne Lynn Isaacs and husband Jeffrey of Belleville, MI; sons, Brian Keith Ramsey and wife Robin of Waynesboro, VA and Bruce William Ramsey and wife Donna of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Erin Lemine and husband Lucas, Kurt Ramsey, Keith Ramsey, Heather Ramsey, Jake Isaacs and Jett Isaacs; and brother, Ernie Ramsey and wife Carol of Roanoke, VA.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 5, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with pastor Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home.
