The Western Greenbrier Historical Society (WGHS) is pleased to announce the next session of Bingo games in the western portion of the county. The first one, held on June 3, was quite a success; and they are hoping the next one will be even better. The next Bingo event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. with the doors opening at 3 p.m., at the Clintonville Community Center, 18904 Midland Trail West (beside the Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department on Route 60), Clintonville.
There will be food and drinks for purchase, door prizes, jack pots, Fifty/Fifty, and many other surprises and fun events. Admission is $15 for a multi-part Bingo card, and there will be prizes awarded for each game. Unfortunately, the State of West Virginia, does not permit youngsters under the age of 18 to participate, but there will be an activities table in the event you want to bring your children.
Proceeds will benefit the Western Greenbrier Historical Society; and the public is cordially invited to attend.
The WGHS is dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of the coal and timber industries and the towns which grew up around those industries. We solicit any memorabilia and documents you may have which will help to tell the stories of Western Greenbrier County and its people. You can find further information on the Society’s Facebook page by the same name, and the event is listed under events there. You can also call the President of WGHS, Irma Smith Cadle, at 304-771-8814 for additional information.
