The Western Greenbrier Historical Society will hold its first annual Picnic and General Membership Meeting on June 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Lewis School, 266 Keeney Mountain Road, Grassy Meadows, WV. The school is located at the intersection of Keeney Mountain and Snake Run Roads. Use the Dawson exit from I-64.

This organization has been operating since 2020. The officers installed at that time have been serving as interim officers for the purpose of getting the organization off the ground. It is now time to install new officers who will be elected by the membership at this upcoming meeting. The draft by-laws will be presented for approval, as well.

If you would be interested in serving as an officer of the Western Greenbrier Historical Society, please advise Irma Smith Cadle by phone at 304-771-8814. Officers include President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Elected officers serve a one-year term but may be reelected twice again.

All current members are allowed one vote. You may pay your membership dues at this meeting. Fees are $15 for individuals; and $25 for members living in the same household.

This is a potluck dinner, with hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks provided. Please bring a covered dish, such as a salad or dessert.

Due to the COVID pandemic, we respectfully ask that all attendees exercise caution and maintain social distancing, even though it will be held outdoors.

For more information, call Irma Cadle at 304-771-8814.
