The West Virginia Humanities Council announces an upcoming special grant deadline of August 1 for minigrants. The state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Humanities Council offers grants to nonprofit organizations and institutions that support educational humanities programming. Due to continuing uncertainty regarding Federal funding, this will be the Council’s only grant offering in 2026.
Council minigrants support humanities projects that request $2,000 or less, including small projects, single events,
lectures, small museum exhibits, and planning for larger projects. The humanities include fields of study related to the human experience, culture, and history.
