Ronceverte- Wayne Bostic, 66, passed away with family by his side on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at the Brier Nursing Home after a long illness.

Wayne was born Dec. 8, 1947, in Ronceverte to the late Steward Junior and Leona Morgan Bostic.

Wayne attended Greenbrier Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He had many friends and never forgot a face. Before illness he could be seen on his front porch in Organ Cave where he greeted friends as they passed by. He gave himself the title of Mayor of Organ Cave.

Other than his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Bostic.

Survivors include: sisters, Deborah Hollandsworth and husband Jerry of Peterstown and Kay Hayes Walkup of Ronceverte; nephews, Jason Hollandsworth and wife Stephanie of Lindside, Joel Hayes of Ronceverte, Justin Hayes and companion Kortney Ornsby of Ronceverte and Kortney’s daughter Kiah; uncle, Homer Morgan of Hinton; aunt, Katherine Morgan of Charlottesville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte where Pastor Tim Dillon officiated.

Burial was in the Salem Cemetery at Organ Cave.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Activity Department at the Brier Nursing Home, 601 Rocky Hill Road, Ronceverte, 24970.
