The City of Lewisburg will soon be undertaking a water meter replacement project to improve the efficiency of the residential water meters currently installed. The new meters represent an upgrade at no cost to the City or customers and will improve the overall efficiency of the water system.

The meter replacement work will be undertaken in a sequenced manner, starting the week of Apr. 27, in the Fairlea area moving along 219 North until completed. Notifications, in the form of door hangers, will be sent out to each area prior to the work actually starting. Water service will be temporarily disrupted while the old meter is removed and the new one is installed. It is anticipated that service will not be disrupted for more than 30 minutes, but may vary depending on the circumstances.

Advanced Utility Services (AUS) of Little Rock, Arkansas, is working as the General Contractor. Employees will have credentials showing their name and the Advanced Utility Services (AUS) logo. AUS is a bonded and insured contractor, and the company operates a Drug Free Workplace. City personnel will also be working with the Contractor in order to complete this project as quickly as possible. Only those employees of Advanced Utility Services or the City are authorized to perform this work.

Please bear with us during this project as we continue to improve the City’s water system. If you have any questions or comments please call the City of Lewisburg at 304-645-1833 or 304-645-2080 or Advanced Utility Services at 877-925-2911.
