Wanetta McKinney, 92, of Springdale passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, in Rainelle, WV.
Wanetta was the daughter of Clarence and Amanda Armstrong Rodgers.
Wanetta was a member of Springdale Home Demonstration club for over 50 years, former salesclerk for G.C. Murphy’s in Rainelle, had worked at the sewing factory, and Black’s Court Restaurant.
She was preceded by her husband Billie Ray McKinney (1987); her parents; sister, Gladys Black; and brothers, Carl Rodgers, Dale Rodgers, Delmar Rodgers, James Rodgers, Calvin Rodgers, and Wade Rodgers.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Tina McKinney; son, Larry (Sandy) McKinney; sisters, Virgie Cords, and Drema Morgan; brothers, Earl Rodgers, Merle Rodgers, Delbert Rodgers, Tom Rodgers, Verne Rodgers; grandchildren, Adam, Samantha, and Rachael; great-grandchild Cameron.
Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bennie Kenney officiating. A burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery. The visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Friday.
