Wanda Sue Kane

Callaghan, VA-Wanda Sue Kane, 54, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at the the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Born Dec. 16, 1960, in Welch, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Georganna Clark Holcomb.
Wanda served her country for 15 years (U.S. Army) and had served in Desert Storm. Wanda studied nursing and graduated at Bluefield State college. Wanda was loved by many locally and all around the world. She left a mark in anyone’s heart that had the privilege to speak to her. She will be missed but never forgotten. RIP sweet angel.
Survivors include: daughter, Melanie Ferreira of Sacramento, CA and brother, Danny Holcomb of White Sulphur Springs; two grandchildren, Austin and Joshua. She also leaves behind a wonderful boyfriend, retired marine Richard Streck; niece, Heather Donny; nephew, Daniel Holcomb; and other nieces and nephews.
Her service was conducted Monday, Nov. 2, in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, where Pastor Danny Bostic officiated. Burial followed in the Alderson Cemetery in Alderson.
Visitation was Sunday evening, Nov. 1, at the funeral home.
