Wanda Lilly, 91, of Rupert, passed away March 8, 2025, at the Rainelle Healthcare Center in Rainelle. She was born on Sept. 15, 1933, in Sharps Chapel, Union County, TN, a daughter of the late Alonzo and Ellen Sharp White.
Wanda was a homemaker that enjoyed cooking, gardening, crotchet, and other crafts. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and her dogs and cats. She had a beautiful voice and would occasionally sing in Church accompanied by her husband. She also occasionally played guitar. She attended Church throughout her life, loved Jesus and would tell others about Him whenever she had the chance. She had a kind, caring heart with a contagious smile.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, W. Earl Lilly, and siblings Edith Sumner Phelps, Fern Turner, Janie White, and Ralph White.
Wanda is survived by a brother and sister, Ronnie Lee White (Sue) of Mount Hope, WV and Imogene Wills (Jim) of Mount Sterling, OH; a daughter and son, Ardena Osborne (Ron) of Maxwelton, WV, and Stephen Lilly (Carol) of Duo, WV; four grandchildren, Jason Osborne (Candice) of Rupert, Leah Yoakum (David) of Smoot, Lora Weikle (Justin) of Frankford, and Joshua Bibbee of Duo. She had 5 adored great-grandchildren, Jayden Osborne, Eli Osborne, Myka Lilly, Jaxon Weikle, and Lily Weikle, and one great-great-grandchild, Stephen Tuckwiller.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 15, at the Charmco House of Prayer, 4444 Midland Trail W, Charmco, WV 25958, officiated by Pastor Felix Baker and Jason Osborne. Friends may call between 12 noon and 1 p.m. before the service. Interment to follow in Bib Cemetery, Fayetteville, WV.
