<strong>Lewisburg<\/strong>-Vona Paulette Winston, 75, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, from a terminal illness.\r\n\r\nBorn Easter Sunday, Apr. 25, 1943, at Herndon, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Sarah Green Mills.\r\n\r\nVona worked most of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse at various healthcare facilities including Greenbrier Valley Medical Center for 22 years and Greenbrier Manor for four years. She was a member of the Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church. She always enjoyed having bible studies at her home and hosting the brothers and sisters family reunion every year.\u00a0 Vona will be greatly missed by her family and friends.\r\n\r\nIn addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Janie, Bo, Trula and Marjorie and one brother, Russell.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Jim Winston; son, William James Winston Jr. (Lora) of Lewisburg; grandson, Michael J. Winston of Lewisburg; brother, Jess Mills (Betty) of Columbus, OH; and two sisters, Betty England of Mullens and Peggy Mills of Fairlea.\r\n\r\nIt was Vona\u2019s wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 22, at the Greenbrier Health Care Center with Iona Sarver officiating.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of sympathy be made to Greenbrier Health Care Center, Activity Department: 1115 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.\r\n\r\nArrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg.
