Alderson-Virginia Ann Rickard, 63, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Virginia was born Jan. 2, 1955, to the late Hazel Ann Spitzer in Harrisonburg, VA.
She loved going to church, loved her fur babies and friends and family.
Survivors include her son, Jeremy Todd Rickard and fiance Stephanie Morgan; brother, Teddy Spitzer and wife Phyllis of Broadway, VA; aunt, Barbara Cubbage of Stanley, VA; uncle, Earl Smith of Luray, VA; special cousins, Julie Owens and husband Rob Owens of Shenandoah, VA, and Becky Roy and husband Junior Roy of Stanley, VA; best friend, Peggy Rippel and companion Frosty Hartman of Broadway, VA; and last but not least, her furry friends, Maxi, Charlie, Chloe, Pepper, Smokie, and Tippie. As well as many loving cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 18, at the River Life Church of God in Alderson, where Pastor Anthony Carter and Pastor Danny Morgan officiated. Burial was in Morgan Cemetery in Organ Cave.
A visitation was held for the public one hour prior to the funeral service.
