Violet Ilean Jones

Ronceverte-Violet Ilean “Susie” Jones, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019.

Born Aug. 14, 1941, at Glace, she was the daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln Jones and Ruthie Ellen Bostic Jones.

Susie was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Hanna Jones.

Survivors include four children, Steve Jones (Michelle) and Stanley Jones (April) all of Organ Cave, Sharon Jones and Susan Griffith both of Ronceverte; former son-in-law, Roger Griffith of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Karys and Kellen Jones, Alexandria and Katelynn Jones, Caleb and Aaron Griffith; brother, Jackie Jones (Sue) of Gap Mills; sisters, Margaret Fury of Ronceverte and Wilma Feury (Charles) of White Sulphur Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Ronceverte Baptist Church where Pastor Andy Howdock and Pastor Don Trent officiated. Burial followed in the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Organ Cave.

Visitation was Tuesday at the church before the service.
