<strong>Lewisburg\u00a0<\/strong>- Verner E. McMillion Jr., 92, passed away early Thursday morning Feb. 8, 2018, at Greenbrier Manor in Fairlea.\r\n\r\nBorn Aug. 17, 1925, inTrout, he was a son of the late Verner Elster McMillion Sr. and Julia Theressa Burr McMillion.\r\n\r\nJunior or \u201cMr. Mac\u201d as he was known was a retired brick and stone mason in the area. After retirement, he helped his son-in-law at Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs for several years. He was well liked and had many blessings with old and new friends. He was a very devoted Christian of the Protestant faith and loved singing the old hymns. He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School \u201cClass of 1943\u201d and a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.\r\n\r\nIn addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Geraldine Christian McMillion; sister, Madora Elizabeth McMillion; and four brothers, Lacy (infant), Robert, Harold and Paul McMillion.\r\n\r\nSurviving are his only child, Mary Jane Walkup and husband Zivo of Lewisburg; two sisters, Juanita Harvey of Elgood, and Norma Loudermilk of Christiansburg, VA; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.\r\n\r\nThere will be no visitation and graveside services will be private at Morningside Cemetery in Renick.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers please consider donations to Greenbrier Manor Activity Fund, 1115 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901 or the Greenbrier Humane Society, P.O.
