Verlin Moran “Butch” Butcher, 73, of Crawley, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at the Memorial Division CAMC in Charleston, WV.
Born Feb. 5, 1952, at Fairmont, WV, he was a son of the late Rev. Verlin Eugene and Roberta Lee Vincent Butcher.
Butch loved to dance and sing, loved reading books, and children. He loved his Filipino basketball team, “Team Butcher.” He was a retired long distance truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Grayson Butcher.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Arcabos Butcher; son, Jason Butcher of Loxahatchee, FL, step-sons, Daniel Boggs of Mount Morris, PA, and Marc Tibor of the Philippines; granddaughter, Adrianna Butcher of Morgantown; sister, Rev. Dr. Joy Butcher-Winfree of West Milford, WV; and brothers, Kenneth Butcher of Crawley, Richard Butcher of Frankford and Mark Butcher of Crawley. He is also survived by special friends, Jerry Roberts and Tim Bittinger.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, followed by a brief Service of Celebration beginning at 8 p.m.
