On Sunday, Mar. 24, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle automobile accident on U.S. Route 219 south of Ronceverte and near Organ Cave. The accident was a head on collision with entrapment. The driver and passenger in one of the involved vehicles succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Their names are being withheld pending family notifications.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department Crime/Accident Scene Reconstruction Team processed the scene. Ronceverte Police Department and the fire departments of Ronceverte, Fairlea, and Lewisburg responded.
