Greenbrier Valley Entrepreneur Café 4 winner Meredith Young with a display of her recycled jewelry
A business based on recycling cans to create beautiful jewelry was the high scorer at the Feb. 18 Entrepreneur Café. Meredith Young’s presentation entitled “UnCanny” uniquely described her home-based business need for manufacturing dies to increase production to fill orders from 130 outlets including Whole Foods. Close contenders included: When Pigs Fly Bar B Que, Greenbrier Valley Brewery and New World Alterations. Crowd-funders enjoyed a delicious meal from Sam’s Club and helped to increase the seed funding award to $1,050.
The next Café will be held in late spring. Applications are now being taken at www.gvecafe.com.
