On Thursday, Jan. 24, two new deputies were sworn in to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department.

Alexander Workman and Matthew Doss both took an oath before Greenbrier County Clerk Robin Loudermilk and were officially instated.

Workman has seven years of experience as a police officer, and has worked on the police force in both Beckley and Lewisburg. Doss said he has always wanted to work in law enforcement, ever since he was a young child. Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan said, “We welcome the two newest members and look forward to them being able to serve the citizens of Greenbrier County.”
