Trillium’s School for the Performing Arts is proud to announce new classes and instructors for the 2022-23 school session.
Returning is Hannah Morningstar-Stout teaching age 3-18. Classes include pre-ballet, ballet and jazz, advanced company ballet/pre-pointe/pointe, and new this year, jazz/theatre/musical theatre.
Joining the school this year is TPY Alum Ross Honaker. Ross has returned home after spending time in NYC and Amsterdam dancing professionally. He will be teaching dance for the functional body. This class, which is open to all skill levels, is both therapeutic and fun! The movement patterns integrate elements of classical ballet, modern dance, mat practices (like yoga and Pilates), and tai chi to build healthy habits and protect the spine and other joints during everyday activities. You’ll focus on moving in a structurally sound way, but you won’t forget about the joy of dancing in the process!
Also joining the school will be Amanda Burns, owner of A1 Studio in Covington. Amanda will be teaching beginning clogging for age six through adult.
Hannah and Ross will also be the instructors for the new Trillium Youth Ensemble (formerly Trillium Performing Youth).
Come meet the instructors and get more class information on Monday, Aug. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis Theatre 865, Court Street North, in Lewisburg.
If you cannot attend, a full class schedule and registration forms are available at trilliumperformingarts.org or contact the Trillium office at 304-645-3003.
