As a play-by-play announcer, Tony Caridi has told real-time stories about sporting events in West Virginia for over 30 years. In a soon-to-be-released children’s book, he’ll take boys and girls across the Mountain State to visit iconic destinations in a fast paced rhyming read.
“Where, Oh Where, Oh Where Could We Go?” introduces a new generation of Mountaineers to the state’s unlimited opportunities for adventure. Written by Caridi and illustrated by Bridgeport native Emily Huffman, the book encourages readers to explore and share their favorite West Virginia destinations. An audiobook to guide young readers is included with purchase of the book.
“The seed that started this project was the Read Aloud program my wife and I participated in when our children were young. With this book I hope kids will see that West Virginia has many wonderful places to visit, and that it’s fun and cool to read,” Caridi said.
The cost of the book is $15 with a portion of the proceeds donated to WVU Medicine Children’s. Books may be purchased at TonyCaridi.com Pre-orders began Nov. 4 with distribution scheduled to begin Dec. 8.tony-book
