Thelma Holliday Bennett

Ronceverte-Thelma Holliday Bennett, 90, has gone to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, from Mary’s Garden at the Marmet Center.
Born Aug. 26, 1923, at Ronceverte, she was a daughter of the late Cary Theodore and Reva Irene Bennett Holliday.
Thelma was a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith and attended the Ronceverte Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Wilson Bennett on Jan. 7, 1966; and two sisters, Wilma Holliday Leslie and Margaret Tingler Stayton.
Those left to cherish her memory are: three daughters, Jewel K. Bennett Moore of Covington, VA, Joan G. Bennett Earl (Bruce) of Pahrump; NV and Teresa M. Bennett Lewis (Joe Tucker) of Montgomery, WV; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Bennett of Louisa, VA and Richard Dale Bennett (Kay) of Ronceverte; sister, Natoma Holliday Story (Lowell) of Edison, NJ; two brothers, Lawrence Theodore Holliday (Hester) of Beckley and Sherman Cary Holliday (Kay) of Lewisburg; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Jed Holliday.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Roy Lee Massie, Jr. officiating,
Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery at Ronceverte.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Ronceverte.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Mary’s Garden at the Marmet Center, 1 Sutpin Drive, Marmet, WV 25315-1977.
