The first Writers Station Open Mic of 2025 will take place at the Alderson Train Depot, #1 Railroad Avenue in Alderson on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Original works of all genres including prose, poetry, essay, memoir, flash fiction and book chapters are welcome. Sign up opens at 5:30 p.m. Each participant will have approximately five minutes for their reading depending on the number of readers.
The Writers Station is sponsored by Alderson Main Street and is produced and hosted by Reni Fulton and Cheryl Mansley. Reni Fulton has been a writer all of her life and has garnered awards for her memoir and poetry. She has been published in Sage Woman and Onion River Review among others. Cheryl Mansley is a long-time events producer, artist and educator and is a member of Alderson Main Street.
