The WVU Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Service shared and learned at their October club meeting held at the home of Laura Ann Tiller on Oct. 14.
Members attending were LauraAnn Tiller, Lyne Jones, Linda Spencer, Patty Post, Shela McComsey, Loretta Shirley and Burl Post. Guests attending were Lara Sevy and Tricia.
After a delicious fall potluck lunch, members did deep breathing exercises led by Shela McComsey. Then, those in attendance learned the importance of preserving their life stories and create a plan to share their memories with family and future generations. The lesson “Echoes of the Past: Creative Writing for Legacy Building” prepared by WVU Extension associate professors and agents was presented by Lyne Jones.
The next club meeting will be held on Nov. 11 at noon at the same location. The lesson will be “Christmas Cookies: History and Sharing of Baked Goods for the Holidays.”
All are welcome to come for a covered dish lunch, fellowship, and learning beginning at noon.
