Officials, former students, stakeholders and residents came together Friday, to cut the ceremonial ribbon on the Meadow River Valley’s newest addition – The Rupert School Apartments.
After more than seven years in development, the old Rupert Elementary School building – which was left unusable after the catastrophic flooding of 2016 – is officially ready to welcome residents to their new home.
The former school’s old classrooms have been turned into a mix of 14 affordable housing, as well as six market rate housing units. The complex now consists of 16 one-bedroom units, and four two-bedroom units.
