T.O.O.T. is right around the cocrnerThe 29th annual Taste of Our Towns (T.O.O.T) festival takes place on Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in downtown Lewisburg. This year’s event, sponsored by Ford, promises to have an even wider variety of delicious fare to satisfy any appetites. T.O.O.T is an annual fundraiser for Carnegie Hall, as well as numerous other participating nonprofit organizations. The event draws thousands of residents and visitors to Greenbrier Valley to enjoy the best food festival in the state.
Returning offerings like The General Lewis Inn’s pecan pie, The Greenbrier Sporting Club’s shrimp and grits and Dutch Haus’ filet mignon sandwich will have devoted patrons lined up early. Some new and old favorites included in the 50+ vendors: Stuart’s Smokehouse ribs and brisket, B. Sweet Confectionery’s pancakes and bacon cupcake, Stella’s pumpkin roll with caramel sauce and fresh whipped cream, Fujiyama’s sushi and Stardust Cafe’s lobster soup. Is your mouth watering yet?
Remember, T.O.O.T Vendors only accept official T.O.O.T Tokens in exchange for tastes both savory and sweet, gourmet and traditional. Cash will not be accepted at Vendor booths. Cash only will be accepted at token booths. Credit and debit cards will not be accepted on the day of event. ATM machines are located downtown at City National Bank and First National Bank.
