The Greenbrier Valley Local Foods Initiative will hold its annual fundraiser, Farm Feast, at the Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company in Maxwelton on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. A menu of all freshly sourced and prepared foods will be offered, including beef brisket, chicken, and pork roast, all smoked that day by the Burnout Pit BBQ in Alderson. Sides, including organic greens, roasted vegetables, and squash soup will be provided by Greenbrier Valley Grown certified producers and prepared by the Greenbrier Valley Baking Company in Lewisburg. Music will be provided from 7-9 p.m. by the East of Memphis Band.
Tickets will be $25 in advance or $30 at the door and tickets for children 12 and under are only $10. Tickets include your meal, a dessert, and one adult beverage. Tickets may be purchased at Edith’s Specialty Store in Lewisburg, the Alderson Green Grocer in Alderson, or by calling 304-497-4300 and asking for Heather. This is a family friendly event so feel free to bring the kids.
