“Feeding the Pig” or knowing how to use money wisely is definitely a part of being a successful business person. Summit Community Bank is giving royal blue piggy banks to all the students participating in the Mindset of Success program at Western Greenbrier Middle School this year. This youth entrepreneur program is offered by VisAbility-Mindset of Success Educational Program in partnership with Communities in the Schools. The eight week program empowers students through vision setting, goal-setting, problem-solving and idea development utilizing creative thinking skills. Throughout the program, students’ potential to create their future through the power of the entrepreneurial mindset is validated. The program culminates with the creation of a product or service to solve a problem or to meet a need. The program is sponsored through the Peyton Foundation and First Energy. Katie C. Ickes of VisAbility and Rachel Garringer of Communities in the School are the program facilitators at Western Greenbrier Middle School.
