Recognizing the importance of student voice in governance, the Greenbrier County Board of Education welcomed seven student representatives to the board at the Oct. 9 meeting.
Students appointed to the board serve in a non-voting, advisory capacity, keeping the Board informed on issues of importance to students.
Greenbrier West High School student representatives for the 2018-19 school year are Isaiah Stanley, Gianna Ortiz, and Aalyiah Painter. Student representatives from Greenbrier East High School are Brett Napier, Taylor Keeling, Joyce Bernardino, and Michael Kluska.
“Greenbrier County Schools is fortunate to engage the voices of these impressive high school students who serve as liaisons to the board. We look forward to their participation and are very appreciative for their service,” states Superintendent Jeff Bryant.
