Butler Boyd Brown

Morgantown – Butler Boyd Brown, 35, formerly of Frankford passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Butler was born Dec. 27, 1982, in Low Moor, VA, the son of Boyd and Deborah Ames Brown of Frankford.

He was of the Methodist faith and was the leasing agent for Layne Land and Leasing. Butler graduated from Hargrave Military Academy, Potomac State College and West Virginia University. He was a member of MLBC Chapter of AAPL and the National Chapter of AAPL.

Preceding Butler in death were his paternal grandparents, Burl and JoAnn Brown; maternal grandparents, June and Harry Wood and William P. and Doris Ames; and special uncle, C. W. Brown.

Those left to cherish Butler’s memory are his wife, Letisha “Tish” Cole Brown; son, Griffin Butler Brown at home; parents, Boyd and Deborah Brown of Frankford; sister, Sara Brown of Frankford; parents-in-law, J. J. and Merriam Cole of Asbury; brother-in-law, J. J. and Leann Cole of Lewisburg and their children, Aiden and Kinsley; sister-in-law, Amanda and Charley DePriest of Williamsburg and their children, Lil’ Charley and John Robert; special family friend, Freda Casto of Caldwell; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles; and his special Layne Work Family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at Frankford United Methodist Church with Pastor Chad Dingess officiating. Interment to follow in Morningside Cemetery at Renick.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday evening, Oct. 12, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contribution in Butler Brown’s memory to City National Bank for Griffin Brown.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of arrangements.
