GVT will host The Washington Street Strutters, Monday, Apr. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Daywood Lobby at GVT. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors and $10 for children/students. For more information contact GVT’s Box Office or visit www.gvtheatre.org.

Enjoy an evening with The Washington Street Strutters as they perform classic Dixieland jazz, swing, blues and familiar favorites. Their notable style is the second most popular form of jazz, fast paced and fun.

The Strutters were last seen at Lewisburg’s Winter Musical Festival and are excited to kick off GVT’s Al Jeter Music Series. The toe-tappin’ evening will last approximately one hour and 30 minutes with one intermission.

The southern style jazz band formed in 2007 and continues to grow. The Strutters include: Cathey Sawyer (vocals), Joe Buttram (clarinet), Jeff Bryant (trumpet), Brian Carr (trombone), Jay Frye (tuba), Tim Pyne (drums) and Kermit Medsker (piano).
