Lewisburg-Stella Lucille O’Brien Reeves Tucker, 97, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

She was born June 17, 1919, in Eureka, Montana, a daughter of the late John Harmon and Mary Ilo McMillion O’Brien.

Stella was a retired nurse and attended Graystone Baptist Church in Fairlea.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wensell Reeves and second husband, George Tucker; son, James H. Reeves; granddaughter, Sherry L. Reeves; sister, Irene O’Brien Cochran; and brothers, Brady, Ralph and Richard O’Brien.

She is survived by: daughter-in-law, Ann Reeves of Lewisburg; grandson, Scott T. Reeves of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Betty Herrod of St. Helen Island, SC; great-granddaughter, Victoria (Shawn) Montello of Chesapeake, VA: and great-grandsons, Cayden and Cameron.

Her funeral service was held on Sunday, July 17, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Pastor Youel Altizer offtciated. Burial was in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.

The family received friends Saturday evening, July 16, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
