Lewisburg-Stella Brant Simms, 84, passed away Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2022, at the Peyton Hospice House,
Lewisburg, WV.
Born June 13, 1937, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Eldon and Mary Eva Bowyer Brant.
Stella was a mother and homemaker who loved sewing, quilting, growing flowers, painting, and bowling. She
worked at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in medical records and was the Director of Volunteers for several
years.
Survivors include three daughters, Tia Dawn Simms (Barbara McDonald) of Worden, IL, Marla Michelle Simms
(Creig Kostoff) of Bothell, WA, and Lara Larissa Montgomery (Douglas) of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Dorothy
Williams (Claude) of Lewisburg and Grace Brant of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Sean Montgomery, Erin
Montgomery and step-grandson, Preston Kostoff; and several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, Apr. 2, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive,
Lewisburg, where Pastor Andy Howdock officiated. Burial followed in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.
Visitation was before the service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
