At Sprouting Farms’ Crop Series you will see us harvest and pack specific crops and demonstrate how to produce large volume crops for wholesale markets.

Our first crop of the series will be kale.

On June 12 come by Sprouting Farms, (4661 State Route 3 and 12, Talcott) from 7 to 9 p.m. to be a part of our kale harvest and training. We will focus on these key areas:

• Grading: What is it, why it’s important, and how to do it.
• Cost Analysis: Keeping crops profitable through management and market selection.
• Tech: What technology and equipment can save you money for a particular crop.
• Culture: How to manage a particular crop from seed to harvest for specific markets
