The Spartan defense was pivotal in their 41-7 victory over the Red Dragons.
The Greenbrier East Spartans defeated the St. Albans Red Dragons 41-7 last Friday night. The Spartans needed this win after suffering a 2-34 loss against Beckley the week before.
The Spartans took the field with confidence and were ready for a battle. The gained 28 points in the first half alone, for a 28-0 lead. During the second half, the Spartan defense stepped up with 0 gains.
Greenbrier East now stands at 1-2, and St. Albans at 2-1.
